About 8 minutes for the six parts on the card. Skincare and optional extras take additional time. Adjust the shade depth and amount to your preference.
- Prep. Start with clean, moisturized skin. For daytime, let your usual sunscreen settle. Skincare is outside the makeup estimate. Prep guide
- Base. Press a light veil of skin-matching powder foundation over the center of your face, leaving the outer cheeks fresh. Base guide
- Conceal. Optional: tap skin-matching concealer only where needed; allow extra time if you add it. Conceal guide
- Brows. Sketch light brow-pencil hairs through sparse areas and brush them upward with a spoolie. Check both brows for balance. Brows guide
- Eyes. Press bronze eye shadow onto the lid and blend a soft brown at the outer corner. Check both lids for an even shape. Use cosmetics made for eyes. Sweep black mascara outward through the outer upper lashes, keeping the inner lashes light. Eyes guide
- Cheeks. Blend a little warm amber blush over the outer cheekbones, leaving the center light. Cheeks guide
- Lips. Tap on a sheer rose lip tint and soften the edge. Check the coverage in even light. Lips guide
- Set. Optional: press a little powder where needed, following its directions. Allow extra time if you add this step. Set guide

The preview can show Bronze Goddess, the nearest look. It keeps warm metallic lids in bronze and gold rather than your exact shade or placement. It adds bronzer, golden highlight, peach blush and a warm nude gloss.
Try Bronze Goddess on a sampleSample faces are free. They show a fixed look, not this exact recipe. Your own photo needs sign-in and an available image service. When personal-photo previews are available, each email gets 1 free look on its own photo; paid own-photo looks are currently unavailable, so additional looks cannot be purchased.
Wearable mode or challenge mode
Wearable makes an everyday recipe. Challenge adds makeup wheel themes: 1920s, 60s, 80s, 90s, Y2K, Bronze goddess, Red carpet, Goth, Mermaid, monochrome berry or three products only.
How the generator builds a look
- Wearable gives one feature the lead. Challenge follows its named rule: 1920s and Goth pair dark eyes with deep lips; 80s pairs bright lids with a blush drape. Bases always match your skin. In Wearable, Evening adds a smoky eye, bold wing or bold lip; Work keeps eyes muted. In Challenge, the theme sets its own colors and shapes; only Time changes the recipe.
- Warm uses copper, terracotta and brick; Cool mixes plum, mauve and berry. Monochrome uses only berry on lids, cheeks and lips. Five minutes keeps application light; ten adds defined brows and liner or lashes. Three-product looks take less time because the other steps are skipped. Choose 20+ for deeper smoke, a defined crease, a layered lip or a blush drape with highlight taking 15–25 minutes. The rounded estimate adds the six parts; skincare and optional extras are excluded.
- Themes take priority when you pick one. If a kept part does not fit that theme, it is unlocked and the card says which one, with Undo to restore your choice. Surprise me only picks themes that fit all your locks; if none fits, your parts stay locked and the result has no theme. Theme choices set their own palettes; your Wearable filters return when you switch back. Swatches illustrate color families, not exact shades on your skin.
Use it as a makeup wheel or no-buy challenge
Treat Spin as a no-buy makeup wheel that gives a whole routine. Lock a favorite lip or cheek, then spin the remaining parts. Use your existing cosmetics in the nearest color family; the recipe is a starting idea, not a shopping list.
For a no-buy challenge, set out what you own first. Keep unfamiliar colors as small lid or lip accents. Use products made for eyes on eyes, lip products on lips and a base that matches your skin. Stop if a product feels uncomfortable, and skip a step rather than rush.

Frequently asked questions
Is this random makeup look generator free?
Yes. Spin, filters, locks and sharing are free. No photo or account is needed; you get a written recipe, not a generated image.
How is this different from a makeup wheel?
You get six coordinated parts, color swatches and steps in application order. Challenge themes change the recipe itself.
Can I keep one part and change the rest?
Yes. Tap its lock, then Spin. Re-roll changes just that unlocked row. Unlock the lead feature to let the next Spin choose a different focus.
What does the time filter include?
The six parts on your card, added together and rounded to whole minutes. Five minutes keeps things light; ten gives fuller definition in about 7–10 minutes. Three-product recipes are shorter because base, brows and lashes are skipped. Choose 20+ for deeper smoke, a defined crease, a layered lip or a blush drape with highlight taking 15–25 minutes; three-product recipes use that time to practice layering the same products. Skincare, optional concealer and optional setting are extra. Kept parts may need a different time; the result will tell you.
Does the result match my face or coloring?
No photo or face analysis is involved. Adjust the depth and amount to your preference. Always match foundation to your skin; the generator changes its finish, never your skin color.
Can I see the exact recipe on a sample face?
Samples show six fixed looks. When one keeps the lead family, you can try it and read the shade, shape and supporting-part differences. Some matched theme recipes also link to their existing tutorials. Colored smoke matches Smokey Eyes by shape only. Brown or black lips, bright or icy lids without smoke, one-color looks without smoke and recipes with two dramatic leads have no close sample match.
How do I share or save a result?
Tap Copy link and keep the full link. It restores your recipe, theme, filters and locks. If an older or damaged link cannot open, you will see the default look and a notice.
